The pioneering spirit of America will shine through the inspiration of traditional tunes in Copland's and Dvorak's great orchestral works. American trombonist Jeremy Wilson, has returned home to Tennessee from the Vienna Philharmonic and will perform a virtuosic Trombone Concerto.
21st Annual Legend
Melissa Manchester emerged onto the popular American music scene as a singer/songwriter in 1975 with her hit single "Midnight Blue." She went on to collaborate with other American vocalists producing some of the most memorable and compelling music in the 1970's, 80's and 90's. Some of her hits include "Don't Cry Out Loud," "Through the Eyes of Love" (the theme from Ice Castles), and "You Should Hear How She Talks About You," for which she won a Grammy.
