Jackson Symphony Band and Strings Camp is a half-day camp open to woodwind, brass, percussion and string players. Admission is open to brass, woodwind and percussion players going into the seventh grade through those that have just graduated from high school, with at least one year of playing experience. String players must have at least 18 months of playing experience and be at least seven years old.
Each session is 4 hours long. High School Concert Band students (rising 9th grade through those just graduated) and advanced string students will attend camp from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Middle School Concert Band (rising 7th and 8th graders) and beginning and intermediate string students will attend from 12:30 pm until 4:30 pm.
Camp tuition covers all camp-related costs, camp T-shirt, and a camp group photo. An Acceptance Packet containing additional information will be sent upon receipt of the registration form and tuition fee.
The camp concert will be performed on Friday night,
June 28th at 7:00 pm in the Hartley Recital Hall at Union
University
Scholarship funds may be available to students who demonstrate both financial need, musical skill and motivation to learn. Scholarships will be applied up to 50% of tuition costs. Request for scholarship consideration should be sent to The Jackson Symphony office to the attention of Ellen McClune, Camp Director. Please send a completed application, a recommendation letter from the student’s band teacher indicating skill level and motivation as well as a letter from the parent or guardian stating financial need and a scholarship request.

Dr. Jessica Dunnavant - MTSU and Belmont Academy. Flute faculty for camp.
Registration Deadline is June 17, 2013
Tuition is $100 if postmarked by June 3rd
Tuition is $120 if postmarked after June 3rd

based upon instrumentation needs.
