Bravo! Spring Luncheon on Saturday April 16, 2011, 11:30 am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church 309 Church Street, Downtown Jackson to celebrate volunteerism in support of The Jackson Symphony. The annual Bravo! Volunteer Aweard will be presented. Luncheon speaker is Mr. Chuck Cagle, President-Elect of the Volunteer Council at the League of American Orchestras. Buffet lunch by Gena Mandle and Musical Entertainment. Sponsored by The Woman's Clinic. Tickets are $15. Call 427-6440 for more information.

This year's annual comedy benefit "Gotta Love a Little Laughter" will be held at the Aeneas building on Tuesday, May 3 . Tickets are $50 each, and admission includes the courtyard reception, dinner, wine or beer, dessert, coffee bar, and a comedy show featuring Dave Little. The event begins at 6:00 PM. The Color of Music

Area K-8th graders have the opportunity to listen to classical music and interpret works visually. Art work is judges by a panel of local artists and musicians. Winners are presented awards at a reception in March and selected entries are displayed at two art exhibits. More than 7,000 students participated in the project last spring.

Hospitality

League members provide refreshments for the orchestra musicians at rehearsals.
