Fundraisers

The League provides major fundraising support to the orchestra through the "Spirit of Christmas Auction" in conjunction with the December 5th Christmas Pops concert.

This year's annual comedy benefit "Juleps and Jokes" will be held at the Aeneas building on Tuesday, May 11th . Tickets are $45 each, and admission includes the courtyard reception, dinner, wine or beer, dessert, coffee bar, and a comedy show featuring Mark Klein. The event begins at 6:00 PM. THE COLOR OF MUSIC

Area K-8th graders have the opportunity to listen to classical music and interpret works visually. Art work is judges by a panel of local artists and musicians. Winners are presented awards at a reception in March and selected entries are displayed at two art exhibits. More than 7,000 students participated in the project last spring.

HOSPITALITY

League members provide refreshments for the orchestra musicians at rehearsals.
