The NED
Experience the power and drama of epic Greek mythological tales and heroes as told through music. This performance, in partnership with the Jackson-Madison County Library’s Big Read program, will feature The Odyssey, composed by young Film and TV composer Eric Huang, for which the 4th mvt. titled "Circi" bears the same name as the book, and Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, as heard in Disney’s Fantasia.

Join us for Mozart’s magnificent Requiem with guest soloists and full choir. The first half of our concert is an experiential take on this iconic piece as conceived by The Jackson Symphony principal bass and recording artist, Marco Alexander.

Konstantin Heidrich is our soloist for Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 1, widely considered the most difficult cello solo ever written. Michael Tippett’s edgy and dynamic Symphony No. 4 completes the program.
