Welcome to the 63rd season of The Jackson Symhpony. This season we are excited to announce our theme of "Symfusion," the blending and combining of musical styles. This season's performances seek to engage you through multiple senses and experiences. We invite you to come with us on a musical journey sure to inspire and delight.
SHERRY FREEMAN
Executive Director
Our season title "Symfusion" describes our creative take on familiar classicals throughout this concert cycle. A mix of the words "Symphony" and "Fusion," we invite you to join us for an eclectic and creative mix of new and old, side by side, with new vigor and energy. We will still have all of your popular favorites, including the Holiday Pops and Starlight Symphony concerts, but we also welcome the edge that Marco Alexander will surely bring with his "Reimagined Requiem," as well as the brilliant playing of solo cellist, Konstantin Heidrich, in Shostakovich's first cello concerto. As a personal favorite, I am looking forward to introducing you all to Michael Tippett's amazing 4th symphony, and our Queens of Soul pops concert promises to be a huge highlight! See you at the symphony!
