The Jackson Symphony Music Academy offers quality instrumental and/or vocal instruction for students in their own communities, free of charge. Centers are currently open in Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Henry, Madison, McNairy, Obion, and Weakley counties.

The JSMA Youth Orchestra is for serious young musicians who play orchestral brass, woodwind, percussion, or string instruments. By introducing exciting literature, the orchestra challenges students to develop to their fullest potential while playing entertaining music.

Camerata Strings, JSMA’s beginning ensemble, welcomes students who have at least one year of playing experience and are learning to read music. Sinfonia Strings serves intermediate players ready to stretch, challenge, and refine their skills.

The Jackson Symphony Music Academy offers choral training through the Children's Choir (grades 4-6) and Youth Choir (grades 7-12) programs. These ensembles work to develop vocal technique and performance skills in a professional, group setting.
