Camerata String Program

Camerata Strings, directed and conducted by Anne Rieh Reeman, is designed for beginning string players who have at least one year of experience and are learning to read music. As one of the only ensemble opportunities for early-stage string students between Memphis and Nashville, Camerata provides a valuable chance for young musicians to build foundational ensemble skills.

Students focus on playing together as a group, developing their understanding of harmony, melody, rhythm, and basic ensemble techniques. In addition to two performances as part of The Jackson Symphony Music Academy concert series, Camerata will also perform in the lobby at The Jackson Symphony’s Holiday Pops Concert.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at Concordia Lutheran Church:

Camerata - 5:15–6:00 p.m.

Sinfonia String Program

The Sinfonia String Program, also directed and conducted by Anne Rieh, offers intermediate string players an engaging and challenging ensemble experience with fun, diverse repertoire and meaningful performance opportunities alongside fellow young musicians.

As one of the few ensemble programs for string students between Memphis and Nashville, Sinfonia provides a rare opportunity for developing players to strengthen their skills in a group setting. Students focus on ensemble playing, intricate harmonies, rhythmic precision, and expressive melodies while exploring a wide variety of musical styles.

Sinfonia will perform two concerts as part of The Jackson Symphony Music Academy season and will also be featured in the lobby at The Jackson Symphony’s Holiday Pops Concert.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings at Concordia Lutheran Church:

Sinfonia - 6:00-7:00 p.m.
