Graded programs vary from location to location; contact Debra Rhodes, JSMA Director for more detailed information.
The Jackson Symphony established JSMA Regional Music Centers to increase access to high-quality music education and performance opportunities for students in grades 1–12 across West Tennessee.

With a team of professional instructors, Regional Music Centers offer free group instrumental and vocal instruction in students’ own communities. In addition to weekly training, students come together to perform as part of a large Music Academy orchestra and choir three times each season.

In Fall 2025, regional music centers will be located in Crockett, Gibson, Haywood, Henry, Madison, McNairy, Obion, and Weakley counties. As the program continues to grow, it will ultimately span all counties in West Tennessee—stretching from river to river, with the exception of Shelby County.

The Jackson Symphony believes that high-quality music education builds confidence, strengthens leadership and teamwork skills, and fosters creative expression. We are deeply grateful to the generous sponsors who have supported our programs, helped make this expansion possible, and funded annual scholarships for deserving students. To bring an RMC to your community, contact Debra Rhodes, Director of The Jackson Symphony Music Academy.
