Jackson, TN, July 18, 2025 – Violinist and vocalist Anne Rieh Reeman has been named Director of Camerata & Sinfonia Strings, the beginning and intermediate string ensembles of The Jackson Symphony Music Academy (JSMA).

A passionate educator and versatile performer, Anne has been part of the Music Academy faculty since August 2024, teaching strings at the Regional Music Center in Brownsville. In her new role, she will lead students through their early ensemble experiences, helping them develop foundational orchestral skills and a lifelong love of music.

“Anne brings an extraordinary level of artistry, creativity, and care to her teaching,” said Debra Rhodes, Director of The Jackson Symphony Music Academy. “She inspires young musicians to grow with confidence and curiosity, and we are excited to see the impact she will make in this expanded leadership role.”

Currently completing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at the University of Memphis, Anne also serves as an adjunct instructor in Ear Training at the university. She is a registered Suzuki teacher with training through Book 8 and maintains a private Suzuki studio. Her previous teaching experience includes roles with the University of Memphis’ Campus School String Project, the SAIL summer program, and the PRIZM Ensemble Summer Camp.

Anne holds a master’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Memphis and earned a double bachelor’s degree in Vocal Jazz Performance and Classical Violin Performance from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has performed in master classes with Sylvia McNair, Imani Winds, the Verona Quartet, and the Merz Trio.

A core member of The Jackson Symphony for the past three years, Anne has also performed with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and Delta Symphony Orchestra. Her cabaret performances have earned praise from Cabaret Scenes, which described her as “enthralling and utterly charming.”

In addition to her musical achievements, Anne holds a master’s degree in communications from the Freie Universität Berlin. She enjoys performing with her husband, Randy, and volunteers at Memphis Animal Services in her free time.
